Blanca Plata is a Mexican-born fine artist based in Portland, Oregon, whose work explores transformation, beauty, consciousness, and the extraordinary within the human experience.
Formally trained in Fine Arts at the Real Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City, Blanca has developed a multidisciplinary career spanning painting, airbrush, portraiture, body art, and live fashion illustration. Her work moves fluidly between the intimacy of the studio and the energy of live events, where she captures people, movement, and fashion through expressive, spontaneous strokes.
Her fine-art practice is deeply influenced by personal transformation, the mysteries of consciousness, and moments that seem to exist just beyond the visible world. Through luminous surfaces, symbolic imagery, metallic leaf, airbrush, and layered techniques, Blanca creates work that invites the viewer to look beyond what is immediately seen.
Today, her creative worlds are coming together. Alongside exhibiting her fine art, Blanca creates live fashion illustrations for fashion, weddings, galas, and private events, transforming fleeting moments into original works of art guests can keep.
Her current exhibition, The Art of Awakening, brings together works born from a period of profound artistic and personal evolution.
For Blanca, art is not simply something to look at—it is a way of experiencing, questioning, remembering, and awakening.

Artist Statement
My work explores the space between the visible and the unseen—the moments when consciousness, emotion, memory, and something greater than ourselves seem to intersect.
I create from experiences that have transformed the way I perceive the world. Through airbrush, traditional painting, metallic leaf, light, color, and layered imagery, I translate experiences that are often difficult to describe with words into something that can be seen and felt.
Recurring elements of transformation, feminine energy, nature, cosmic imagery, and awakening appear throughout my work. Some pieces begin with an experience or vision; others emerge intuitively through the process of painting. I am interested in the mystery of what we perceive, what we remember, and what may exist beyond the boundaries of our ordinary awareness.
I don’t create to tell the viewer what to believe. I create an invitation to wonder, question, feel, and perhaps recognize something within themselves.
For me, art is a bridge between what we can see—and what we can only sense
